આજે લોકસભા ચૂંટણી 2019ના સાતમા અને અંતિમ તબક્કાનું મતદાન શરૂ થઈ ગયું છે. કુલ 8 રાજ્યની 59 સીટ પર આશરે 10.17 કરોડ મતદાતા રવિવારે 918 ઉમેદવારોનું ભાવિ નક્કી કરશે. ચૂંટણી પંચે મતદાન સુગમ રીતે થાય તે માટે 1.12 લાખ મતદાન કેન્દ્ર બનાવાયા છે. સાતમા તબક્કાના મતદાનમાં પંજાબ (13), ઉત્તરપ્રદેશ (13), પશ્ચિમ બંગાળ (9), બિહાર (8), મધ્યપ્રદેશ (8), હિમાચલ પ્રદેશ (4), ઝારખંડ (4), ચંડીગઢ (1) લોકસભા બેઠકનો સમાવેશ થાય છે. ભાજપે 2014માં આ અંતિમ તબક્કાની 59 સીટમાં 30 પર વિજય મેળવ્યો હતો. અંતિમ તબક્કાની મહત્વપુર્ણ સીટમાં વારાણસી સૌથી મહત્વપુર્ણ છે, કારણ કે વડાપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદી અહીંથી ફરીવાર ચૂંટણી મેદાનમાં છે. તેમનો મુકાબલો કોંગ્રેસનાં અજય રાય અને એસપી ઉમેદવાર શાલિની યાદવ સામે છે.

આ તબક્કામાં વડાપ્રધાન મોદી ઉપરાંત કેન્દ્રીય મંત્રી મનોજ સિન્હા, અનુપ્રિયા પટેલ અને ભાજપના પ્રદેશ અધ્યક્ષ ડૉ. મહેન્દ્રનાથ પાંડેય, પૂર્વ મંત્રી આરપીએન સિંહ અને ભોજપુરી ફિલ્મ અભિનેતા રવિ કિશન, ભાજપના વિદ્રોહી ઉમેદવાર શત્રુધ્ન સિન્હા સહિત અનેક દિગ્ગજોના રાજકીય ભવિષ્યનો આજે નિર્ણય થશે.
